Date Night Cooking - for the guys!!

OK, Chris and I are planning on a cooking class for the guys and I propose it be "cooking for a date night". I will help the guys come up with the best date night food that is sure to impress. Photos will be posted later as well. Chocolate mousse will for sure be on the menu and I'm looking for suggestions. Get ready!! This one will be good. No girls allowed!

Sundays at the Sonksens is my favorite Sunday in the month. I love having my house FULL to brimming with all of our kids. A short arm wrestling match took place (a holdover from the night before?) but it quickly ended and all were friends. I hear none of the girls want to take Mallory on, rightly so, as she would crush all the competition. Another round of birthday singing took place and we added any stragglers from July who missed the last party (Lawrence). Thank goodness Bryce leads the singing. I still think he's sorry it's not his birthday every month. Maybe we'll have to make him the honorary birthday boy every month...filling in for anyone missing.

Lighthouse

This is the Big Sable Lighthouse in Western Michigan. You have to hike 2 miles to get there and climb 120 steps to get inside. Well worth the fun.

White Water Rafting

Did we have a riot or what!?? I am seriously getting the bishop a tent for Christmas or one of our monthly celebrations as we zoom to our 30th wedding anniversary next year in May. May 25, 2008 we will be married for 30 years. Every month on the 25th we celebrate our anniversary. We had a lovely dinner in Michigan for our 29 yrs. and 3 months anniversary. I think we need another campout in Sept. or Oct. when the weather is cool and crisp. Maybe more campfire cooking too, I have more recipes up my sleeve.
